**Admission requirements**

The candidates should be prepared for an interview on the following themes:

- Interpolation.
- Uniform approximations.
- Approximations in Hilbert spaces.
- Numerical integration.
- Numerical solution of non-linear equations.
- Numerical solution of linear systems of algebraic equations

The Program aims to provide students with a solid education in one of the following areas:

– classical and contemporary fields of Approximation theory and its applications;

– theory and practical use of effective numerical methods and algorithms;

– development and use of software for scientific calculations. - Professional

The Program prepares students to do research

in the fields of Approximation theory and Numerical methods, as well as to work on applications of Mathematics in natural sciences and engineering.

**Access to further studies**The master’s program facilitates a further PhD degree study in the same specialty.

**Course structure diagram with ECTS credits (60 per year)**

Disciplines with numbers 1, 2, 9 must be in a student’s curriculum, unless they were included in his/hers bachelor’s study.

The student must also take 10 exams, choosing:

- 3 or more disciplines among 3, 4, 8, 10, 11, 16, 19, 20;

- 1 or more disciplines among 5, 6, 12;

- 1 or more disciplines among 7, 13, 15, 21;

- 2 or more disciplines among 14, 16, 17, 18, 22

Assessments are made on the basis of written exams and/or course projects.
