Creating a Local Copy

If you want to create a local copy of the lecture notes for browsing it off-line, you may download from the standard WWW location of the notes a compressed archive named ml.zip (171540 bytes long, with latest file in it created on January 10, 2001). This archive contains the files needed for such a copy, in particular an HTML file named start.htm. After decompressing ml.zip in some disk directory you could start the browsing from the mentioned HTML file.

Remark. The last modification date seen in most of the texts of the notes sometimes turns out to be later than the date(s) of the corresponding file(s) in the directory listing. This is due to the fact that the files are usually put into the standard WWW location of the notes after editing them in advance at some other location.
